Description

We present natural Mentha piperita hydrolate for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Mentha Piperita, which botanists place in the Labiatae family. The hydrolate bears the name Mentha Piperita Natural Hydrolat for Pharmaceuticals. The plantations in Bulgaria provide the raw material, and the plants develop naturally, without artificial support and without foreign agents. Due to the absence of external intervention during cultivation, the composition of the liquid remains natural and takes in only the substances derived from the processed leaves of the plants. Preservatives and colorants are not present in the distillate. The leaf part of the plant is processed. Extraction is carried out by steam distillation, so the scent retains its minty purity and remains close to the substance of the original leaf mass from the plantations. The scent manifests itself strongly in the finished distillate. Alongside the minty base, fresh and cooling facets are evident in the aroma profile, complementing the overall aromatic character. The color shifts from colorless to slightly greenish. The liquid appears clear and homogeneous throughout its entire volume. The species is hybrid in origin and descends from a water mint ancestor and a spearmint ancestor. It is also used in the production of liquid forms for oral administration, in antiseptic creams with a mint base, as well as in solutions for suspensions with a balanced minty profile and stability.

Storage

Store natural Mentha piperita hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 to 12 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for pharmaceutical products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for pharmaceuticals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the quality and safety of the product for a longer period.
